In addition to the fact that they kept her passport, those frequent updates are actually a really good sign (I was in AP longer than her).

So now just be patient, keep waiting and checking and soon inshallah your wife will get her visa and your family will finally be reunited again :)

Everytime i check the update on the nvc website will that make a difference... meaning can the officer see that someone keeps checking?

Nope, checking has zero impact on the updates.

The only way you could possibly cause an update is if you call or send an email to the Consulate, but they don't always update when you do so. But since your case is clearly being actively processed and looked at, I wouldn't bother them and just let things and updates happen naturally as they're on the right track :)

Frequent update has nothing to do with expecting the visa to be ready sooner , I had constant updates n I was in touch with the embassy , even my fiancé approached the senator ... non of it made any difference ... embassy stoped replying to our attorney , last update was on 24th august due to our inquiry n that it ...

Usually, the status would change from AP to Ready then AP then Issued. Then depending on how the Consulate in your country delivers your visas, you'll be notified by phone, text or email (only someone from Pakistan can answer this question).

True but sometimes it could be a sign of a soon to be delivered visa. But as everyone knows, no one has control over AP and no one can tell how long it could take as each case is different.

I have been on AP since 3 n half months well not exactly on AP but my status shows Ready ever since my interview. All we gotta do is wait wait wait until AP is over.
