David, there are several translation services on Wireless Road in Bangkok. The same road that the embassy is on. There are several right on the corner of Sukhumvit and Wireless. Tell her after she gets these translated to treat herself to a day of shopping at Siam Paragon. On you of course! Ken

Dave,

Pu can either do it at the Thailand Government or any translation offices. Just make sure that it is stamp correctly by the translation shop. Like everyone else Wireless has so many different places to do this.

Good luck with the interview next month.

pulteseller,

Translation services are every other storefront in that area.

Be sure that they transliterate her name the same way as is in her passport.

Lek says the translation shops by the Embassy, Wireless Road/Thanon Witayu, charge 200B a page. She is planning on translating her housebook and checking for discounts - I'll let you know.

Yes, have the name spelled exactly the same as Pu's passport - good tip!

Will you be able to go see her?

Ding,

I am curious why she would have either of those translated - neither is needed for any purpose in the USA that I can think of offhand.

.....

Two reasons, neither mandated.

1) We visited the Wat where her dad and sister are interred and I am interested in her family history.

2) In case there's a problem at the BKK embassy I want to know what she has on-hand that she presents to the CO.
