CRBA for child born out of wedlock

I am the father of a child born out of wedlock, and the child is in costa rica, while i am in the US. But I am married to someone else here in the US. Child carries my last name, and I have all records including birth certificate and a lot of pictures and backup materials in terms of me playing an important role in my child's life since she was born. I have a good relationship with the childs mother who is costa rican. my question is, I am going to be applying for CRBA in costa rica, and the child mother is supportive of that. I am worried about me still being married to somebody else other than the child's mother, and whether this will prevent the CRBA from being approved for my child. my current spouse is aware and is supportive . any past experience on this would be appreciated.

Your relationship with your current wife and the illigetiment child getting a visa or passport has no bearing. If you can prove to the consultant that you're the father then your good to go in getting all necessary documentation. I think at some point your child will appreciate that you did this for him.

Not necessarily.  Originally we were going to file for a crba and were unmarried.  The words DNA test were never mentioned
