I just watched a 'How Clean is Your House' where they removed over 4 tons of garbage from a 2 bedroom attached house *puke*

Did you ever see that BBC show on the environmental health dept in UK? They had some really terrible stuff on there – including a pair of brothers who had some sort of morbid fear of loss – to the extent that they couldn’t throw anything away (including their own urine and used toilet paper). They guys sent in from the council had respirators and biohazard suits, but even through that one guy had to take several fresh air breaks to vomit outside.

This thread has me LMAO! The one question I have is, why are cats the chosen animal of the mentally unbalanced? I never read or hear of reports about someone having 300 dogs in their home living among their owner. It's always an unpresidented amount of cats and old ladies. Bravo to those who have NO cat smell to their homes! I've never been there, so I wouldn't know. I would know if I did enter your home. I don't suppose you would invite me over?

For the geniuses who find it so humorous about a dog, male or female, licking their crotches then licking a human. Each dog I've had, that was one of the habits, I would break the dog of being able to do so. Amongst the other obvious things I did not want the dog to do. My dog lives outside where she offers my family protection from those wishing to steal from me or harm my family. That includes that occasional cat that makes the mistake of getting into my yard trying to eat my dog's food. The only reason is whomever owns that cat doesn't feed them. Once my dog gets a hold of a cat, that 9th life is gone. It's her yard, her right to protect it how she wants. I didn't have to train her for that task.

I just don't understand why it doesn't bother someone that their cat(s) naturally take a dump, uses it's paws to bury it, carries the bacteria within their paws and/or claws, let it walk freely around the home, onto the kitchen counters and dining table where people eat? It appears to that it's an invitation for guest's to come over and eat out of the litter box without their knowledge. It's just the same logic as those who get dog ####### on their shoe, wherever they walk, it's going to leave the bacteria where they step.

Absolutely disgusting! I don't know what's people's fascination with allowing so many damn cats to occupy a home! Every home that's had a cat I've walked in to during my life, I've always smelled that stinking litter box! How do cat owners tolerate the stench? Is it that avoidable? The cats take a ####### in a box. They roll the ####### around with their paws and bury it. Then they jump and walk all over kitchen counters where food is prepared. Not to mention all the other places they walk all over the house with their crappy paws. I don't get it. I can't be convinced that cats are clean animals.

I agree completely!!!! I refused to even eat at my mother in law's home because she let her cats on the kitchen counter and then wouldn't clean it!! So disgusting. Also, she didn't think it was a big deal that the wood floor was black and sticky from the cat food getting all over it! I was so disgusted. Thank god for hotels.

In all fairness, that sounds like your MIL's fault rather than the cats. After all you could let your dog take a ####### on the carpet and then not clean it up - its just the same.

The one I just saw was on BBCA last week and the house was such a tip that I was in such shock that I taped some of it with my videophone, lol.

Look for the rerun, you'd sit there in horror. Or one of these days I'll have to host the vid on youtube, lol
