Hello everyone!^_^

I was looking for some information about overall experience of getting done medical exam at Kyiv, Ukraine. Couldn't find anything useful about this.

Maybe someone just went through this process or did it recently, could you share your experience step-by-step?

I already heard about all vaccinations information etc. But I would be very grateful for this information.

I guess medical exam in every country is specific, so I just want to be prepared. Like maybe I need to buy or prepare some additional stuff.

Thank you very much for your answers! :D

Hello!:)

I haven't done the medical yet, but I talked to a girl who was approved recently.

There's nothing to worry about, they are nice and helpful there, you don't need to buy anything additional.

Where are you in the process? Have you booked the medical yet?

Hi! :)

You don't need to buy anything. But the only thing you need to get BEFORE medical is your vaccination record. So called form 086 if I remember correct You can get it from your physician.

If you come without this form - they won't turn you down and you will still be able to get your medical done.

But along with a medical results you would need a Form DS-3025 - it's gonna be a part of your I-485 application after arrival to the US. And if you don't have Form DS-3025 , you would need to visit a civil surgeon here, and usually they want you to get a full medical done, again.

Good Luck!!! :)

We just got our NOA-1, but I am already doing my research on everything I need to do after NOA-2.

Good luck with medical and interview! :)

Thanks for the information!

I was also wondering if I can be done with all the doctors and examination stuff in one day? Are lines of waiting really long in that clinic?

Thanks again :)

Well, it took her about 3 hours because she was about half an hour late, and there were a lot of people in front of her in the line.

I can tell you about mine in 3 weeks, but I have 2 kids, so I will probably spend there more time than average:)

Thank you, good luck is what we all need, and I wish you lots and lots of patience, waiting is not easy:)

Country-specific thread is moved from K-1 Process to the Russia/Ukraine/Belarus regional forum.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

You should be done in one day.  :)  Result -  next day pick up. It used to be the same day, but I've heard it's not any more.

Some tips that helped me... Just don't follow the "crowd"  :)

What I mean is -  usually as soon as registration is over, and you can start your actual medical,   aaaaall people go the same direction .. You -  go opposite :jest: For example, if you see there is already a big line to get X-Ray done, go to for your blood work. There is really not any  "order" how your medical should be done. Yes, a physician is the last doctor you visit, but other than that -  you are free to go, so just try to see where less people are at the moment .

And make sure form DS-3025 is given to you :)

Good luck!!!
