Your post came at the right time for me. Last night, I had a meltdown over this very issue with Omer. We are in the process of gathering forms, filling out forms and preparing to send packet 3. I am doing the paperwork- as his English is not so great. I sent him a slew of questions, which he responded to- just not the way I sent them- i.e.- I asked where he lived for the past ten years, and he'd give me addresses, without months, or incomplete addresses without the city or zip code. I lost it! The visa is for him- I am filling the paperwork out, but the least he could do is thoroughly attend to every detail. Ugghhh. He felt really terrible last night after our phone conversation.

The bottom line is- some of his attitude- 'enjoy the day', 'relax', is why I love him so much - He so balances my type A personality. And, he really doesn't quite get the gravity of every single detail being correct. He works 6 days a week, and doesn't read the forums here as I do. I haven't been with him nearly as long as you have been with your SO, and I feared this was a harbinger for what is to come in life. I totally over reacted in reading too much into this.

He is ruching around today before work to finish the questions correctly. It did feel good to vent though last night. Hopefully you'll let your SO know how upset you are.

It sounds like you have enough for the interview- I wish you the very best.

You're not alone girl... :crying: Right now, I'm still waiting for all the documents from my petitioner and to think it's been a month since I mailed him the list of everything and instructions on how to do things and yet still nothing. He said he needs to set his mind first before he work on it. Geez! I'm stilll waiting for my medical and interview schedules but I want to have things done and prepare for it now. But it seems like I have no choice but wait till my fiance finds his mood to work on all the documents.

Hello d_corrz

Good luck on your interview, i know you can make it. As for me here, my fiance is currently in Iraq. I reminded him twice about the I-134, about the latest ITR. I didn't have it until now, but i believe that he is going to send it to me before i fly down to Manila. Lucky you because you are able to chat with him online. Eversince my fiance' was on training last year until now we don't go to chat. I only got like three emails from him since training. But when he got to Iraq he calls me three times a month or four. He said he is very busy and i can understand him, he didn't even have time to reply my emails but i still email him, at least he reads them. I sent him cards and packages, i don't get his reply thru snail mail, and that's still okay because i know he got them. Thankfully, his parents have been helping me from from RFE to Approval of NOA2, they're the ones receving the notices since my fiance' was out to training that time. All in all i am not complaining...i support him for what he does in Iraq.

Well yes you have the right to get upset. Again you seem to have enough evidence, sure you can make it through the consul. Good Luck and God Bless.

Hi Imaskin,

I almost missed your reply let me wish you goodluck first ,give me some tip ha!because your interview is 5days ahead of my interview, you must be feel more pressure than I, hope you get your affidavit of support soon, i read here someone said that consule is very considerate to the soldiers specially if they are in the war zone, my fiance is still in Iraq but he's not army he works for army, in telecomunucations he installed phone for them to call back home, so he has lots of free time to watch American Idol and Dr.Phil (joke) if he is in his room we chat, at his work we exhanging emails in between he calls.

hey i have question can you really send him letters and package from here to his Iraq address? i never try here yet coz when i was in Taiwan his address was not recognized i had to send my package to his family in US and then they will forward it to him.

Oh yes, he comes here to read and post only when he feels like it. But that's ok, at least one of us is inclined to do the paper work just like you and your fiance.

Well, in our case, I think their stubborness is what made us fall for them so deeply and just like what Phila said, they're the one who will balance our being too organized. In short, they're the one who will drive us crazy

Good luck to you sis! At least we're lucky enough to have our fiances' relatives all out support! Right girl? :luv:

Yeah i can send him snail mails and packages with his base address in Iraq...you know like "FPO AE" at the bottom. Also when he was based in JP i sent him using his base address with "FPO AP" at the bottom, i think that's military thing or US government establishments that's outside the US soil. When you send it through private courrier they really don't recogniaze it because i have tried that, but governement post office does. Yeah i heard that CO always have that consideration for US servicemen in the warzone, but i don't know...i will find out when i face the CO. He said to me that he is going to forward his Affidavit of Support to his parents in the states and find a legal personnel to sign the paper. and then they will forward it to me along with his Letter of Order that he is in the warzone.

Good Luck to all of us. God bless.
