What should I do if I made a mistake on DS160 and visa was approved(f-1). I put "no" on Have you been refused visa? But some attorney told me that I should put "yes" in that time because that's called "refused " ( I put "no" because that time(B-2) I didn't get the denial paper, all documents+application returned and went back to provide more documents and the visa was approved). Some attorney said i didn't "been refused ". I'm so confuse. I'm going to apply my E-2 visa at the embassy. What should I answer on DS-160? Did I made mistake or I did right? If it's a mistake, what should I said at the interview if they ask?

I don't understand your question.

 

You made a mistake in a application for F1 but that application was approved? 

 

So now you are applying for another visa and you are wondering what you should put down in the DS-160. If "no" as you did for your F1, or "yes" based on what this lawyer is saying?

Yes, you are right. I'm still not sure that I made a mistake that time. Or I should say "yes" that the lawyer said.

If the B2 was approved too then you never had a refusal. As I understand, for the B2 they only asked for more documents, you submitted them, and they granted you the visa, right?

Yes, they returned all documents included the application and passport. I don't have to fill a new application, just add the bank statement with all stuffs that they returned and then approved.

Yes, that is not a refusal, so it is alright to say "no" in the application. 

 

If you had made a mistake they would have told you when you did the F1. So just fill in the DS 160 like you had done before. Good luck!
