I got approved!!   

what are my next steps when it comes to my ead I have to basically  change my name on my SS card can I take in my EAD card when it arrives and use that to change my name?

I'd say yes, you can take your EAD to change your name and some more proof of marriage like marriage certificate.

Well last time I went in my I-94 had expired so  they refused to change it due to that  so I was assuming that my EAD  would be proof i was adjusting my status and that i'm here legally

Once your I-94 expires, they won't let you do it. I will be doing the same thing when I get my EAD.

You will be able to change your name with your EAD card. Just take it with you + marriage certificate. The I-94 doesn't matter anymore, the EAD is also proof of legal stay in the US.

Don't go the first day. They told us at the SSA office to allow 10 days for your change (work authorized or greencard, or naturalisation) to show up in the SAVE database from USCIS. We went around 7-8 days and they found it so not a wasted trip. They have to find the USCIS has made the change, no matter if you have the proper card in hand or not.

Don't know. I was told that the on day I went with naturalisation certificate in hand. That is approved and in hand the same day. 

Girl at SSA says "I hope this is recorded. You're supposed to allow 10 days" Told the exact same thing at DMV  office that day. I think it is a rule of thumb standard thing they tell people and is probably padded a little.

Maybe go by the date on the card and wait a couple of days unless you don't mind multiple trips to SSA and waiting in line.

I would suggest 10 days +2 days to allow for "sinking in". It won't hurt to wait additional days. You have to go with the physical card plus marriage certificate though.
