sealed packet with passport (split topic)

guys just wanted to asked i received my visa packet today and i get the passport inside the clear plastic i open the sealed tape inisde the yellow enveloped in order to get my passport inside is it fine then? coz i put back the tape after

The plastic is not marked DO NOT OPEN only the envelope is marked DO NOT OPEN.   You can cut the plastic open without issue to remove your passport.  I do suggest you keep the DO NOT OPEN envelope inside the plastic to protect it from tearing, and keep that in your carry on bag when you travel.

 

Do make sure to complete CFO

super thanks coz i just got worried coz i got my passport in the plastic were in the yellow enveloped was but i never teared up the yellow envelop itself only the tape of the clear plastic

September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Hello it is totally fine, as long as the yellow enveloped were not open.

the cut corner is not considered - opening the envelope.     Just make sure the envelope does not tear.   Keep it protected in the plastic, then inside your carry-on bag.
