Does NVC really takes 11 weeks or more to review everything for IR5 visa for parent?

I was just curious

Time frame is 11 weeks, sometimes it takes a bit less, if you'll receive a Checklist it'll take longer.

So sorry, but yes. I was also shocked when I heard 11 weeks, because last year it took less than a month for me to receive the interview date after sending my documents to NVC. When I called NVC a month ago to check up on my son's case, the officer said it is taking them 11 weeks to review the cases. In the case of our country it takes another 5-7 weeks after the case has been completed at NVC to have an interview at the Embassy. Let's hope it is a bit shorter.

We received a checklist from NVC on Jan 13th.  We finally received the "case complete" email on April 10th.

Unfortunately you have to wait another 3 months after you receive Checklist till your case will get completed.
