Hello I'm from the Philippines. I have a USC boyfriend. I got pregnant and was supposed to be due last week of June 2017

December 2016 - I found out I was pregnant

January 2017 - We filed for K1 Visa (hoping it would be approved before I give birth)

February 2017 - We received NOA1

May 2017 - Received NOA2,

June 4, 2017 - Received K notification but couldn't process requirements for the interview (since it was going to be done in Manila and I lived outside Manila, 2 hour plane ride away) plus I couldn't travel because I was heavily pregnant.

I gave birth June 14, 2017 and after all the adjustments to this new life and routine, I'm finally working on my papers for the K1 visa. We will be doing a CRBA on the baby but I don't have questions on that as of the moment.

Here is my question:

> I am filling out the DS-160 online and in the "Family Information: Children" section, am I supposed to put my child's info or answer "NO"? Because in the initial papers that we passed for the application, we put that we didn't have a child since I was still pregnant with her.

> Also what papers do I need to bring to the interview if I'm supposed to declare our child?

Thank you!

Rule of thumb answer the question as to what the REAL situation is. When you are pregnant there is no child. When the child is born then you have a child. Don't answer a question with an "anticipated outcome" as it's not truthful.

So having said that, you bring a copy of the birth certificate and request that they add the baby as a K2. It's not a big thing and it happens all the time. The baby will be processed along with you. You will have to pay the interview/visa fee at the interview so plan on taking the current fee.
