hi,

 

I have a k1 visa interview appointment to book. I have a doubt regarding my son who is now 19. He is pursuing his studies which will last for another 2-3 years and so k-2 visa is not an option for him. I would like to know if I apply for f2a for him after receiving my greencard, say sometime next year what is the possiblity of getting his visa and how soon? He is a EU national. I am worried about his aging out during the process of f2a.

Can anybody please throw some light on this? What is the best way out?

F2A for takes about 2 years; if he ages out to over 21, it'll add 5 years for a total of 7+ years wait time.

How flexible are his studies?  Could he come on the K2 and then as soon as he gets the greencard, return to his studies?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
