hey guys, just would ask for some opinions/input/advice from you all.

my brazilian gf is trying to get her b2 visa. she has zero ties to her country. if her b2 gets denied, plan B is to file for K1 asap and get married, oh well.

we had a couple ideas for her to make ties to her country that we would like some feedback on..

1) she already graduated from 4 year facultad, she can enroll in "specialization courses" (of her degree) asap, and get some documents saying that she is currently studying (which she would be)

2)her neighbors/good friends have offered to put her name in the documentation  of their house. she says that an easy process, and her friends say she could easily get documents saying she has this property..

idk how  legit or possible these things would be...but any opinions or ideas are welcome ...thank you!

(1) If she enrolls in university she might have to travel during break and she will have to actually go to these courses. Are those courses part of a postgraduate degree? She cannot enroll and drop out.

(2) This sounds too shady. Is that as part of a lease? If she lives with her parents or somewhere else, it is easy to figure out that she does not live with these friends. They do background checks on people and figuring out someone's real address is very easy. An address is on your ID, on your vote registration, on your university's file, etc. etc.

Her job etc would be much better, not sure how either of those makes things better.

1) She's fine to enroll in courses if she will actually attend. However, COs see this stuff every day...if it looks like she's enrolling for the purpose of the visa, then it'll probably just raise more concerns.

2) Unless she is and has been living there, or otherwise retains residence or ownership, this jumps out as a big flag. It's always best not to "manufacture" evidence...it certainly won't help her case.

Really, she needs to just try for the visa based on her existing ties, or wait until she has sufficient ties.

1) If that is her true intention and the CO sees it as a valid tie it could help, but there are no guarantees.

2) You are asking about doing something fraudulent to obtain a visa which is against the rules on this site.

1) unless she plans on going and actually studying, this is good not only to prove ties but to her future career. Depending on where she plans to study at, it will be expensive.

2) if she doesn't own the property, why would they put her name on it? It's sort of an easy process to do so but it comes with all sorts of fees, which can add up and be expensive.

dont forget she has to disclose she has an American boyfriend and that will add a huge weight against her application. Refraining to do so it's lying and not recommended.

it seems to me she wants to fabricate ties that are not real. Please advise her not to fake anything and be truthful in her answers and when giving info to the consulate. Changing her circumstances so close to her interview and so abruptly will definitely raise red flags. If she is caught with fake documents or telling lies she will be in a lot of trouble, which is not worth it and will damage any chances for her future, even for a k1 and immigrant visas.

also, as I said in your other thread, the consulate in PE did not look at any of the documents I brought with me to the interview. It really seems like they check the info given in the ds160 beforehand.

She should try and get her b2 as it is, invest in herself, make a life there so she can have real ties to the country. It will be the best thing she can do for her future, wherever she plans on living.

You two seem VERY young from your profile pic, you've only met once... I urge you two take the time to really know each other, visiting her if her b2 attempt is not successful, plan on meeting halfway in Mexico or any other country you two can go for, spend time together before making the step to go for the k1

What's your end game in all of this? You are saying that if she gets denied a tourist visa you'll do the K1 visa and get married... Do you just want her to be able to visit her or are you planning on marrying her while she's there?

i would make the best effort to visit her while we file for the k1 , ya.. but the k1 wouldnt be for visiting purposes , it would be to marry and live here with me.

how many times have you visited her??

honestly, her b2 will almost certainly get denied.  so the k1 would be the best bet.
