My case has been in the admin processing for more than two months now at u.s consulate in Islamabad. After my interview i had white slip 221(g) Box checked. The embassy didn't ask me to submit more documents or anything. i check my ceac case status everyday. but in the last 10 days my ceac case last update has changed like 4 times every two days. Does that mean i will get my status changed to issued because in the last two months together it has just changed four times and my case status still says READY. Me and my wife is very hopeful.    Any one gone through same experience Please Guide VJ members.  Thanks.

Nobody can say for sure why it's being updated (except the embassy), but usually that's a good sign that they are actually looking at the case again...instead of waiting for something like background checks. Best wishes.

My wife has also contacted the senator which they replied to that your husband case is still in AP which includes security and background checks once it's complete the embassy will process the visa. Is it clear that the only reason for my AP is Security and background checks?
