Hey guys sorry, I have so many questions but we are in our final steps to the interview. Today we received our case# Invoice# and beneficiary# I used the case number to check my case, but there isn't any info yet. Now I was researching and I found the ds-160 form which I can do electronically with my case and invoice# so the question is when do I complete this form? Do I need to wait for something before I do it, If I completed do I need to schedule an interview or I can wait until the package arrived at the embassy? Sorry and thanks much.

You can fill it out when you want to it's valid as long as the info on it stays accurate - form doesn't expire... but It's the case# you put on it...not the invoice#.

K1's don't need the invoice# for anything.

Well that's strange since other non-immigrant visa categories wouldn't even have an invoice# to enter

That says Immigrant Visa. .. they fill out ds-260 not 160.. you need the ds-160

Immigrant visa petioners pay their fee to the NVC...non-immigrant pay to the embassy... the invoice number is just generated since the K1 still goes through the NVC . It's a dual intent visa (non-immigrant visa processed at the embassy by the immigrant visa unit)

The CEAC status will read immigrant visa until it is about to be issued... it then changes to non-immigrant.

Yeah, that looks like the DS-260, not the DS-160 that the K-1 uses. OP should be using:

Read their timeline. They filed i129f. It's already approved and they are about to interview soon. They are K1 visa applicants and they have been pointed to the right form, the ds160, which is also what they asked about.
