It's a trip me and my wife have been planning for over a year. Its a tournament in Seattle we've always wanted to watch together and it lasts and entire week.

 

We're also meeting our online friends for the first time who we talk to on a daily basis. There's no way we can leave early

Try do a early walk in at your local office asap. I know it's quite a way away but then it'll be done. If I were you I'd be down there monday

There's no way for me to get there. My wife works during the day and takes our only car. I don't know what to do :/

It's a $300 cab ride for just one way. I can't afford that

 

I think I'll try the seattle service center when I get there. Hopefully they'll accept me.

You can try the local office too - what do you have to lose? It ups your chances, and you can keep Seattle as a second attempt if that first one doesn't work out...

That's true. I would have to ask my wife and her mother to go with me to the local office which is an hour away.

Okay so I'm going to head there with the wife and her mother on August 2nd. Hopefully they're fine with it.

attempt an early walk in before you go on vacation. Most service centers will take you in. We just did ours yesterday for ROC fingerprinting and they were nice to us and allowed the walkin.

Isn't there a note at the bottom of the letter saying you can re-schedule if you're not available to attend on the day of your biometrics?

We just showed them our Appt letter they looked at it and proceeded. If you need to reschedule then this is what u would do send the appt letter and check mark reschedule my appt. as shown below and send it to the address below.

Yes there is. The only issue is that our original service center is a 2.3 hour drive, but the one closer to us is a 1 hour drive.

 

I called a tier 2 officer and she said the one further away is the one that services our zip code, which is a bit stupid.

is ending your vacation a day early and a 2 5 hour car ride too much to ask you to do for a greencard? the vacation is really worth more than getting residency? more so the vacation is voluntary and you have already proved to them you know you have the letter so you would have a very hard time trying to get sympathy from them if your not able to get them done.
