Passed my test on Thursday!!  That was the good news; decision "could not be made" was not so good news.  Guess that is pretty common, but I guess I was hoping something about this process could be smooth.  So now I will wait, but at least one step closer...

you filed Aug,2016 and waited for 15 months to get interview from Minneapolis office..... this is really disappointing news to other applicants with Minneapolis office.

Thankfully for most people 15 months is abnormal, even in MN.  They "average" is about 11 months.  I would advice anyone to keep the pressure up if they exceed the 12 month threshold.

It went pretty smooth.  Passed the test, had some corrections on the N400 form, but in the end, a "decision could not be made."  The agent was ok, lets just leave it at that....;)

No one has posted on this thread for a long time. My case is a combined one with my ROC and was moved to NSC in MO back in May. Since then, no movement. From what I have been reading, they have likely combined my N400 with the I-751 and sent them off to NBC where they will wait for an eternity for a spot in Saint Paul, MN Field Office. I feel like I have been left twisting in the wind. This thread gave me some hope that they wold reach out to a satellite office in Fargo to clear up some easier cases. The longer I wait, that hope is fading...

My I-551 stamp expires in 8 weeks, and it looks like I will likely have to make the 4 hour drive to the Twin Cities for another one. That means missing a day of work and being at their mercy for the day of the Infopass appointment.  SMH 😒

Is there anyone else still out there who is close to Fargo, ND and waiting on one of the slowest Field Offices in the US? It is kind of lonely out here in the sticks. 😥

ROC

01/18/2017   Sent in I-751

01/26/2017   Check cashed

01/28/2017   Received NOA dated 01/20/2017

02/16/2017   Biometrics done

10/24/2017   Traveled to Minneapolis for I551 stamp

02/26/2018     Case received by Field Office - S. Paul

05/012018     Case transferred to another USCIS office for processing

N-400

02/02/2018    Filed N-400 online

02/05/2018    NOA online - NOA letter 02/09/2018

02/21/2018     Biometrics walk-in

We are about 2 hours north of Fargo and waiting.  We filed about a month after you, so it'll be a slow wait for us both, for sure.

My husband is actually having to drive to Chicago next month to get a renewal on his Danish passport because the N400s are taking so long.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

Jumping in to say greetings from Bismarck.

Countdown for us to file N400 is a little less than 5 1/2 months away. Any and all info you guys can share about the ND process for citizenship would be amazing. There's little to no info out there.

One couple I know that just did it this summer 2017; got to do the test in Minot (they flew in an officer to do it for him and a few others) and I think they did the actual ceremony in Bismarck though I can't remember when that happened.
