I saw in an earlier thread on VJ that somebody last year emailed the Senator's office to ask why MN has 4-6 ceremonies per month and ND has so little ceremonies. Has anybody here done that? I am thinking of contacting them if I don't hear anything before the end of the year.

Probably has something to do with the number of applicants in that state. I'm in a very rural area close to the MN/ND border so I antipate being grouped with ND filers, as my biometrics were taken in Fargo.  I'm a bit ticked at having to drive three hours for a passport stamp, but I'll get over it...

Yes everything is so spread out. When I had to go for biometrics it has always been in Rapid City, which is a 6 hour drive.. Interview in Fargo, another 6 hours drive. I guess that is our fate living in ND.. lots of driving LOL

When I had my interview in April 2017 they told me it may take one year for the oath ceremony

Wow! Have you had your oath ceremony since April or still waiting as well? I know there have been ceremonies in Fargo in June and in September... not sure why they couldn't schedule me for the September one since that is still two months after my interview.

I live right on the border of MN and ND, but in MN so who knows where they will yank me for mine. Had my I751 biometrics done in Fargo, but had to drive three hours to Minneapolis for the I551 stamp. Yeah, living out in the middle of the country does NOT have its perks, lol!!

Still waiting.  I think they have in June and Sept in 2016 not 2017.

That is such a long time to wait. Have you considered contacting the Senator's office asking why there is such a delay in ceremonies in ND? I am thinking of doing that if I don't have a date before the end of the year.

It is difficult to make any travel plans knowing that a ceremony can be scheduled.

Check it out.  Why ND residents have to wait up to half a year only so someone can have a photo opp in Fargo is ridiculous.

Hi everybody,

Does anybody have an update on their date for either interview or oath ceremony?

Nothing, and my case is still stuck who knows where.

I am curious if you would have any luck with requesting an oath ceremony in MN.  They have 6-10 a month.  There is no reason, other than not being helpful, not allowing us ND residents to attend those, rather than making us wait up to a year.

just curious, i checked over USCIS website and found out that Minneapolis-St Paul office is serving the MN,ND,SD and western Wisconsin. the new field office began full service since May 2017.  and ND,SD doesnt have field office as from the  USCIS list.

Do people still have interview or oath in ND ?

I'm curious to see how this goes as well.  Fargo is by far our closer office, it is 5.5 hours to Minneapolis from where we live in MN.  My husband is applying under the 5 year rule in late Jan or Feb.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.
