In regards to the K1 Fiance visa, what are some of the visa/consular interview appointment dates available for your country?
For my country, they always seem to only have ONE choice. It is also usually on the last Monday of the month. As of today, the earliest available and the ONLY DATE available is August 28th, 2017! I finally have all the required documents but I have to wait 1 more month for the interview! There is no choice to select other dates or even in any of the upcoming months.

Is this the case for many other US embassies/consulars around the world? I would love to know what everyone else is experiencing.

I am just trying to figure out if this is country specific, visa type specific, time of the year? specific, or other reasons.

Abu Dhabi (not my country, by the way - just thought I'd add it) has a wait time of over 6 months for spouse visa appointments. Many embassies have wait times of several months. Looking at your timeline, your process has been quite quick. The next month will fly by, if you keep busy.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

A month out is good. Why are you complaining?

Not complaining, just trying to see if this was the norm for most embassies when it comes to the availability of interview dates for K1. I just felt like from what I've read and seen screenshots of other embassies' appointment dates.. there were quite a few to pick from throughout the month.

And also because just this past Monday (24th) there was still an opening for July 31st interview - and the only reason I did not schedule it is because I was still waiting on the police clearance report from one of the two countries I've lived in. The report arrived on Thursday and I was ready to schedule the interview only to see the earliest available is now August 28th, a month out.

I am totally fine if this is the norm but of course like everyone else, I want to be reunited with my fiancé ASAP and am just trying to find answers and solutions.

The Philippines has (usually) a few options. What we did is we made our appointment and checked online for cancelations, we got lucky and got one over a month earlier than what we originally had.

Cool! It is tough because I want to go ahead and schedule it to avoid getting an even later date but also worried an earlier date might be available! They seem to frown upon changing the date unless you can give them a really great reason why you want to change - so it is putting me off from scheduling right now. Thanks for your info though, helpful!
