Question about Credit

Hi I was wondering if to begin the proccess would make any kind of influence that I get a credit, for Example a phone in quotes?  The paid would be completed after 12 Months in a plan.

I'm working!

Is this a Handicap?

Would It made any kind of difference? For the proccess they search for this information.

Or It's better not have any kind of credit?

Not sure what you are asking, but having good credit is always a good thing. If you have utilities (phone, electric, etc.) in your name, make sure to pay on time. Also, you can get a secured credit card. Use the card and pay the bill on time. Building credit is a slow process, but it is vital in America. I'm not sure if immigration and credit are linked in any way, but better to have good credit than none or bad credit.

Well I'm going to explain it more.

I don't have any debts here In Colombia and don't also have a Credit Car, and I Always pay with my debit Card, my answer is this, can I get a Phone in quotes, of course making the payments in time etc.

It would affect the proccess?

Or it's better not have this debt in records when I made the proccess?

Credit is a non-issue for both the petitioner and foreign spouse, unless a debt would prevent the foreigner from maintaining a valid passport.  For the US Citizen, only a current IRS tax lien as part of their credit report would have an impact on their qualification as sponsor.

 

For example if you need $30,000 in income to qualify, earn $40,000 but have a $12,000 IRS lien on record, your qualifying income is reduced by the amount of the lien and you wouldn't qualify.  If you need 30, make 50, and have a lien for 12, you would still qualify.

We can designate another person instead on my wife for the affidavit, for example my brother in law?

It's hard te proccess to desginate it if apply?

The petitioner is always the primary sponsor, and must provide an affidavit of support. whether they qualify or not.  If they qualify then no, you can't designate somebody else.  If they don't qualify, then any other US Citizen or Legal Resident who DOES qualify can be a "Joint Sponsor".

And what is that affidavit of support, for example, if the primary sponsor works, then qualify?
