I wish I had more answers, or more to contribute, but we were on the exact same timeline as Jrenoj (our husbands actually had appointments on the same day, and at the same time!). So pretty much what she said is all I know. I feel horrible, wishing there was some more info that we have, or some rhyme or reason as to why they do the things they do. Praying you hear something soon! We're all rooting for you! :)

Thank you so much for your kind words!

Another month gone by with no interview date... Don't know what happened... January it is I guess

I've come to the same conclusion the good news is that it's just about 2 weeks away before they start scheduling the new interviews maybe we'll be in that bunch, I'm really hoping so because I can't take much more of this it could drive someone nuts

I agree, I admit I had a few days where I got depressed. My husband and I have been apart for over a year now and it's so hard. But your right just two more weeks, I'm pretty sure we will be in that bunch!

Same her it was two months for me as well on the 25th. I'm also not ready for another month of torture, I really wonder what the heck is going on these dates because everyone was receiving there appointments only a few weeks after CC... So frustrated... Hoping to hear something ASAP as well.

Yeah just wait until Friday your better off, I emailed them yesterday and it was the same thing (we are waiting to schedule your interview )same thing they tell you when you call,😔 I'm going to wait until next Monday to call them , yeah I noticed they slowed down considerably I think its because of the holidays.

Lets pray for this month if not this week next😇🙏

Yeah same here! At the same time though I'm glad it's not just me who is waiting because then I would feel worse thinking they jumped over me or something lol if that makes sense 😂...

And yes let's pray for this month so we can enjoy the holidays knowing exactly when everything will happen 😊❤

Hi there!

Have you already sent your documents to the NVC? It can take up to 11 weeks if you mailed them in. We mailed ours and the birth certificate got rejected, so we had to have his brother get a new one for us and send it here. Does your husband have his DPI? My husband just gave his brother his DPI number and he was able to get it for us. Also, I think you can get it when you go down there, but I'm not sure. I'm not familiar with the process for those who filed electronically. After we resubmitted the birth certificate, we waited another 6 weeks and then I called and got a case complete over the phone. We received email confirmation one week later and the appointment a week after that. Received appointment at the end of July and it was scheduled for September 11. Hopefully this helps. From what I hear on here, they seem to have gotten backed up in their appointment scheduling, unfortunately.

Hello,

After the waiver is approved you will need to pay fees and start your DS260, Basicly you will gather everything that you sent in the first time to USCIS and send it to NVC. Once the NVC recieves your paperwork you will get a number starting with GTM for Guatemala following a ten digit number. Your paper work at nvc should take between 8-maximum 11 weeks when they finish reviewing everything hopefully it will get approved, and you will be waiting for an interview.

The new Birth Certificate is the RENAP, They will not approve your paperwork without the new birth certificate. Since your husband is here he can ask a family member to request it for him in Guatemala and have them mail it to the U.S.

Dont worry everytging will be fine, God bless and good luck

Hello, well actually we dont know that much about this process, we do have an attorney, but he is not that open with us, probably because we dont speak that much english, I guess??!! But we been trying a lot with him, he is taking too much time to send documents, and we dont even know if is by email or regular mail :( ... But my husband and I thinking to have another a new attorney, because he is giving us a lot of hard time, and headache... And Im just searching everywhere in Google trying to find answer about all this process... Its too much stress!!! :( What I know is the waiver is approved, we receive a notice by the end of october, then, in that week we gave him all the paper he ask for it and we have the person for the affidavit and after that we havent have any news yet, actually he have all the affidavit docs and he dont have anything ready yet, we havent sign anything neither the affidavit person. I did call him 2 days ago and he just said that if is not an emergency why I call him, and I was surprise for the answer he gave me, and he said he have severe case but he will find out where my case was because he knews it was around the desk. But he never call back.. so this is having me sad and I dont know what we can do since we live in this state where we dont know many people who can help us.. :(
