Does anyone know if the new birth certificate format will work if my hubby doesn't have a picture on it? He got the new birth certificate printed in may but since he doesn't have his DPI there was no photo. We got the DPI receipt today in order to get police docs but there is no way to print a new birth certificate with pics in time. Since the NVC accepted the one without pics I'm thinking it's ok but does anyone have the experience of going to interview with new format but no pics?

He will most definetly need the updated version of the BC , we sent ours in Feb which was the old version and received notification that we needed the new updated version. So I order one off the Renap website however or order it I needed the dpi number . And then when husband got to Guatemala he went himself and picked one up.

He got his dpi here in Houston back in 2015 I don't remember how long it took.

But you will need the new version of birth certificate

No we have the new one, it just doesn't have pictures on it. In the space where the pictures are it is blank but it is the updated version

I think should be ok. The one we sent to nvc didn't have hubby's pic but was new format & they accepted.

They probably just said that , when I did the appt they said if it was an early appt could get results that day maybe there booked.

Also my husband only needed 3 shots (he's 26) the rest of them had a code that said he was past the age that required them it would've been 4 but he had varicella already (chicken pox?)

and yes yes you'll need DPI to get the policiacos and penales he got both the same day but he was there super early and a line was already outside so be sure to get there early.

And as for the. Birth certificate (with the pictures) that didn't take long either.

Great! Hopefully can have same day. One less trip. My MIL has his dpi so she will go get police records, just one less thing to do.

I will check with my husband and see what he paid. He had his medical on Friday (9/1) at 9 AM (bloodwork, xray, etc.) and had to come back for the results and shots on Monday (9/4) at 2 PM. But from what I have heard from others, many of them got their results the same day. Maybe depends on the office you go to. He went to Dr. Iris Cazali.

My husband just stated the same as Jrenoj. Around $400 (USD). He had to have 4 shots (MMR, D-Tap or T-Dap...I forget which, varicella, and flu shot). He had the chicken pox but I guess because there was no medical record they gave it to him anyways? We literally have TWO pictures of my husband as a child and wouldn't you know, one of those two is when he had chicken pox! However we knew a picture would not be any kind of proof so we just went with it :)

Hubby had med exam yesterday. Paid $280, got 2 shots. Agreed, be prepared for long day. His appt. was at 9. Left doc's office 2:30pm. Results ready today. He went to Dr. Cazali as well.

He had physical in February and went to travel clinic last week before he flew down. He got some shots there and brought records with him.
