May I ask your inputs? Scenario: Eb3

Interview July 20 2017: Consul said congratulations your visa is approved, but we collected our passport after the interview because we have to go back on the same day to SG to work. July 21 we received an email: "We have reviewed your file and determined that you must do the following to continue and conclude your visa application." So July 21 we sent our passport. July 24 they recieved our passport. However, until now it is still on AP, last updated from CEAC was July 21. Is it approved or something's wrong? Is our AP status way too long already? Anybody got the same experience? Please share. thank you so much.

Yes they received it on July 24..

They normally tell you to not do anything before 14 days have passed. You're worried after a few days... it is literally in administrative processing..  ppl usually start worrying after a few weeks have gone by :P

It can take 5 days to 5 months sometimes. Relax. Find something to do and do worry. If the wanted passport it means you pass. So NO worries.

AP is normal.  They stopped the processing to wait for your passports to be returned.  Now that the embassy has your passports they will complete the processing.

One know of one person that requested their passport before the visa was issued.. once it was returned to the embassy the visa did get issued.

Hi there! I had my interview on July 19,2017 of a K1visa & the CO told me that i was Approved, then they advised me to go home and wait between 7-10 working days for my visa and passport to be delivered in my house! I checked my status on CEAC and still i was on AP,& the last update on my case was on July 20! Whats that suppose to mean?are they even going through my case or not? Is this something i should have to worry about! Pls update me about your case soon! Goodluck to us 🙏

The visa processing steps after visa interview are as follows:

The first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa

The first READY is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance

The second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork

The second READY is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery

Next it will be ISSUED which it is being released for delivery and has left the building with 2go.

No one can tell anyone when they will get there visa. There has been some who received in two days and others more than three months. Normal delivery is around 3 weeks if the sun, moon and mars are lined up so don’t run out and buy any airline tickets till your visa is in your hands. Yours is under normal processing and so there is no need to worry. Have more patience.

Hi thanks for the feedback! It alleviated my anxiety cuz now i know im not alone in this kind of scenario! Yea i gues admin processing is the most crucial part cuz we are going to be thrown at a hell hole of security checks but if we know that we are totally legit then theres should be no worry for us! Ill keep you posted once i receive any updates re: my case. We need to be more patient and prayerful! Goodluck to all of us & Godspeed! 😊

When the embassy states days, they mean working days, their working days, which does not include weekends or holidays (U.S. or Philippine), and in this 7-10 day statement .. it is an average.. some take longer some are quicker.

For you it has only been 7 working days.
