Hello everyone, I searched on many websites and couldn't find any threads on NVC processing timing. I am living in pakistan and my wife filed petition on 27feb which was approved on 19th july and we received letter NOA2 on 25th july. They asked us to wait for 4 to 6 weeks before contacting NVC. So, my question is how long this whole process usually takes after receiving NOA2. If they will respond us for case number with 30 to 40 days how long should i expect after getting case number. Thanks in advance.

It could easily take 11 weeks for them to review your paperwork, then another month or so to schedule an interview.  After the interview. you can expect a period of time for administrative processing. Administrative Processing can last a few days, a few weeks, or months.   If NVC issues you a checklist for missing documents (for example), it can delay the process by as many as 11 more weeks

 

Sorry, I'm not trying to discourage you.  I'm just stating reality.  You have several more months before receiving a CR-1 visa..

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Hi everyone as i have received NOA2 how long should i wait before start calling NVC for case number. Also is there any one who is from Pakistan. Please confirm what additional documents they could ask. Please let me know. Thanks.

Congratulations! My Priority date is March 7th so i think it should be getting approved soon. I have a question did they update online first or you just received the letter of approval?

Sodhi Call them atleast after one week and try to  get your case number and spay initial fee and nominate agent on call this is what we just did today
