My cousin is waiting for the result of her sputum culture next week ( 1st week of Aug). We are praying for the good result...After that step is the rescheduling of interview. She was supposed to be interviewed last June at US embassy Manila...My question is what is the earliest possible date that we can get for her new interview appointment? How many times can we reschedule the interview? We really need the nearest possible schedule.. Please help us, I cannot explain everything. I will appreciate any answer. Thank you. God bless.

You can reschedule twice without issue.   No one can easily say what is the earliest available date as it changes constantly.

You can reschedule two ways; online or by phone.  Your profile and timeline don't state what visa you are chasing.  If you are immigrant visa calling would be the simplest.

If K-1 fiancee either online or by phone is easy.

You can schedule the interview online or by calling.

Or By Calling (632) 976-8500, (632) 976-8501 or (632) 976-8502.    This service is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers may speak with an English-, Tagalog-, Ilocano-, or Cebuano-speaking operator.  Applicants, agents or petitioners calling from the United States may also use this service by calling (703) 520-2235.

We also went through the sputum culture testing which was completed on July 4th. We had originally scheduled our interviews for July 17. This was going to be our second interview change. We called the embassy to change our interview date. I asked the lady at the embassy how many times we can reschedule (CR1) the interviews. She said there is no limit for changing our CR1 immigrant visa interviews. I told her that I thought we could only reschedule twice. We will have our interviews in 2 weeks.

That's new news to us veterans. It's always been 2 times. I'd still be cautious about rescheduleing too many times. That's the way I would proceed till such time as someone can confirm that they were not penalized after the 3rd reschedule. Thanks for sharing your experience as it does help others and us old codgers. :D

The two re-scheduling was always tied to K-1, of course even with that the rules have changed since earlier ... so it is a learning day maybe.
