Hi guy,

Just want to ask if the fiance(e) from the PH can call the USCIS to inquire for the status of the K1 visa? Or it is only the petitioner who can inquire?

Thank you for all who will response. :)

USCIS does not issue the visa therefore there's no use to contact them. Also, at the USCIS level, the I-129F was submitted by the US petitioner so again, the alien beneficiary will probably not be entertained.

If she wants to check the visa status, she needs to contact her local embassy :)

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

You have to be the petitioner, lawyer representing the petitioner or have the petitioner available according to USCIS.

USCIS processes the petition, I-129F.  Embassy processes the visa after USCIS approves the petition.  Calling does little if anything, even if you were the Petitioner (which is the person that would need to call ;) ).

If you have your receipt number from your I-797 you can check status online at the USCIS.gov website.
