What do we do with our chest x-rays after the Medical.

It's big and bulky. Do we need to keep it for the interview?

You take it to the interview. 9 times out of 10 they won't ask for it, but if they do, you'll need it.

After that, do what you want with it. K visa applicants do not need another medical when they do their AOS, unless more than a year has passed since the initial medical.

Not sure about Canada, but I had to bring mine my interview in Ireland. However, they never asked for it. I also had to have it easily accessible when going through immigration at Shannon Airport. Again, it was not looked for.

I believe that the Officer does have the right to request to see the x-ray if they want. So, bring it to your interview and when coming to America. :)

I didnt take my x-ray to my interveiw, but I seen alot of people there with them.

Not to many get asked for the x-ray at the interview, but bring it with you if it makes you feel better.

I mean really what are they going to do with it. If there is something on your x-ray, I am sure you would have been told about it by now.

You should hold onto the x-ray, in theory you need to carry it in your hand luggage when you enter the US on the K-1 visa, then you should also bring it to the AOS interview. You are not permitted to open the x-ray envelope. It is unlikely that it will be looked at but do hold onto it.

As a general rule, I would suggest not throwing any original away throughout this process.

You won't need it for the interview but when I took Claudeth to the civil surgeon for supplemental they wanted to charge us for an xray so I whipped out the one from St. Luke's and saved myself $35!
