DS-160 Confirmation Number When Scheduling Interview

Hello, I am in the process of scheduling my fiancee's interview and see this warning on top: Attention: Please note, it is vital that you provide the valid and correct DS-160 confirmation number when you schedule an appointment. If the confirmation number is invalid or incorrectly entered, you will not be admitted to the interview and you will be required to book a new appointment. When applying as part of a family or group, make sure that each applicant has correctly provided their individual DS-160 confirmation number when scheduling their appointment.

I'm currently at the point where I can choose the date and time but no where on the previous fields did it ask for her DS-160 confirmation number. Did I miss a previous field? or will I enter this later after I choose the date and time?

Thank You

I'm not up to date on the new DS-160 procedures. When I did my DS-160 it was the first week the form was in use. Since then so many changes have taken place.  I will give you some reading and it may help.

USTRAVELDOCS has been saying the DS-160 is required to complete the interview scheduling for some time now, yet there is nothing on the scheduling site.....  yet.   Don't worry on it.   ;)

It could be because you are scheduling with the immigrant visa unit, so that doesn't apply.  The K-1 is a non-immigrant visa, but processed as an immigrant visa.

Ya I put that notice on there as it is on the USTRAVELDOCS info.  Yet I have never heard back from anyone regarding actually needing the DS-160 completed.  I keep thinking it is because of scheduling with the IVU and not NVU

This is what I was thinking as well. Hopefully they will let my fiancee in even if the interview confirmation doesn't have the DS-160 confirmation number. She has to bring the DS-160 conformation page with her anyways.

Thanks Hank and Greenbaum

Yup. Just bring the confirmation page and things will get sorted out at the interview. Pleasure helping you out.

Do us a favor and return back and add your experience so others will know the outcome. So many come here for the answer and never return to validate what we said would happen. I don't mind because it makes Hank and I look like smart Professors if you don't return. :P  By not returning you validate we were right.

Oh I hope to be back sooner rather than later. My fiancee has to under go the dreaded sputum sampling and she was negative after her 3 day sampling. Now we are waiting for the 2 month culture. I was getting ahead of the game by seeing if I could schedule the appointment now since they gave us a date she can return if all is well and the culture shows negative.
