Some people don't get called for an interview for ROC at all, and the new GC is mailed to them.  Considering your visa, and considering your divorce chances are you will be called in for an interview.  Timeline until an interview seems to be 4 to 6 months on average after the initial filing, according to what I've seen mentioned here and elsewhere.  Could be longer or shorter---each case is individual, naturally.

I had a pretty similar transition (F1 to H1B to AOS), with a divorce less than a year into my marriage.

Applied to ROC with a lawyer because I didn't have the time to figure out which documents I needed, or how to assemble them (worth it for me in that case) and was approved without an interview.

To hire a lawyer just to fill out a form when you read and understand English perfectly well to answer the questions asked on it seems like a waste of money to me.  You yourself just said you feel the form is pretty straight forward.  It is up to yo, though, whatever you feel comfortable with.

hey...i just went through some my credit card statements, i found out that my ex wife was an authorized user on the account, she got it in feb 2016 and we divorced in june. shes STILL on the account as authorized user, wellsfargo wont give me anything stating that shes an authorized user apart from a document stating that shes been taken off the account when i decide to taker her off. will that matter if i took her off today? i think this could be a good piece of evidence too so would like to use it..
