On the spot the CO congratulated me and told me I'm approved.

The questions I got asked were just the expected ones. When, how, where my fiance and I met. What he does for a living, where he works. The CO didn't even ask to see his i134. And she just glanced at our photos for a second.

Congratulations!!!

Hello. Another good news, I just got home from my interview at the US embassy and I got approved. Thank you all for your support. I didn't expect the entire process to be such an ordeal with the delay and all. Talking to you guys really helped me.

Congratulations!  I'm happy for you. The visa journey group is indeed a big help to surpass the delays.

So my fiancee just got a call from St. Luke's telling her that they need to incubate the sample. Does anyone know what this means? They told her to return at the end of September, and I assume that if she does have TB they would want her to go back ASAP.

The culture must have some sort of growth happening, SLEC wants to verify what it is before committing to a course of action would be my guess.

If it turns out to be TB that requires 6 months of DOT (Direct Observation Therapy = SLEC must observe and administer the medical daily).

Yes. I picked it up last Saturday, September 9 (interview was September 1). Booked my tickets same day.

I won't be reuniting with my fiance yet until October 16. I will be leaving the country though at the end of this month to visit relatives. I've been reading how long it takes to secure an Advance Parole. I figured travel now before I enter the US.

Sounds like a good plan.  Get the visiting/traveling done before entering the USA.

AOS can take upwards of 6 months (AP a little less)

It was going much faster at USCIS then a year or so ago everything slowed down.

Did you get much rain?  I see you are in Quezon City.   seem the typhoon when north more so I was wondering.   Rained heavy for a time here, then quit... at least it is very nice and cool out

It's been raining almost non-stop since yesterday. September is a typhoon month. The most brutal typhoons we've had, we had in September. Fingers crossed my flight doesn't get cancelled

Raining on and off this side of town, got a few breaks in the rain so ran to Pure Gold for a few things.

Couple years ago we flew out on the edge of a typhoon, flight got delayed 1st for the wind, then they had to change runways and the 2nd runway was shorter so they off loaded cargo ... it was all the fun that year.   Heck of a bumpy ride to Japan.
