Hello everyone

I'm in the process of booking flight to the US (super expensive). Due to this I might not be able to pay the immigrant fee right away.

I have some some few questions;

1. What are  some of the challenges that comes with paying when you arrive in the country?

2. How long would it take to receive GC?

3. Can I travel outside the country with only the stamp in my passport given at POE?

Thank you!

1. The longer you wait to pay, the longer you wait for your physical green card.

2. There is no fixed time. I paid the fee before I arrived and my GC took 63 days after I arrived. Other people wait 30 days. Some people wait longer than I did. No one knows.3. The stamp you get at POE is valid for one year. You use that as a green card until the plastic card arrives in the mail.
