Hi, I applied for an O-1 Visa and my petition was approved. I went to the US Paris embassy and eventually she said she wants to look into it more, my case is fairly unusual as I'm below the age of 18. She said it would take no longer than a week, she took my passport and I paid the payment to have it placed in when it is approved. Has anyone got experience with this? How long did it take?

In a foreign country and want to get to work :(

How long ago is the interview? Yes keeping the passport is good... the precaution to look into your case with doing more research understandable, since you are a minor. Keep an eye on the CEAC status with your receipt number. Is it ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING now? Once it changes to ISSUED your are all set.

Sometimes it is not up to her because they have to print the visa, etc. I think you can expect 2 weeks and you can still be certain there is no problem with your visa. Hopefully, you'll hear something before that.

Just try to relax.. ;). Visas can be in AP for weeks with no understandable reason or reading in between the lines. And then all of the sudden switch to "issued". As mentioned before, in your case there are some special points, but that doesn't mean to worry about it.

You had your interview, it went well, your passport is there. I also think all good signs.
