Only one visit with spouse and visa with no problem?

Hi Everyone,

I have not gotten to the interview part of this process yet but have been reading a lot about it.  With Pakistan being a difficult embassy reading some of the post on here can be a little scary.  One huge issue we have that I'm concerned about is the fact we were only together the week we were married.  He can not get a visa to USA and because of my new job and two young children its difficult for me to travel.  My question is how many visa have you seen passed with the same scenario?  I'm trying my best to figure out another trip but its proving to be difficult.

Some background about my case:

My husband and I met a year ago on a game we were playing together.  We met while he was attacking my alliance..lol   We joined the same team and began corresponding everyday.  (I sent all this detail with my i130 application)  It then moved to whatsapp and facebook for hours a day video and text (which I also provided)

I traveled to Pakistan in January  we married and celebrated with his family and friends.    I provided all documents of the marriage and lots of pictures.

I'm completely confident he will have no issues with the interview as he will answer all the questions asked no problem.  He knows me more than I know myself!  He can even tell you I keep extra hair  ties wrapped around my brush..lol  He knows all my family, names where they live what they do for a living.  He talks to my mom sisters and children on a regular basis.

I plan on having him supply chat logs with my family members as well.  Do you think that would be useful?

Red flags we have:

1.  We were both married once before (they were NOT short marriages)

2.  I am Christian he is Muslim (this is not a problem in Islam for a man to marry a christian woman)

3.  One visit and we married during that time.

Any advise and/or words of encouragement (lol) would be greatly appreciated.  This is the hardest thing we have ever done!!

Thanks!

~Freda

I am kinda in a similar situation.

Didn't see my wife since our first meeting, she stayed with me for 1 month and we got married.

She cannot come visit because of her new job, she cannot take days off unless 1 year has passed since her employment.

but we are planning for her to come visit me during the interview so she can attend it with me.

hope that can help with my case, from what I have read it is very helpful for the USC wife to attend the interview with her husband, so I can only advise you if you can plan a trip is to plan it around the time of your husband's interview.

and hopefully everything will be alright :)

My case is kind of like yours.  Although I met my husband nearly 6 years ago. I didn't get to meet him until 2015.  Namely due to money issues and my job.  When I did visit my husband, we did marry after our first meeting.  I met his family and a few friends, we took pictures and had a nice little reception with a lot of food. :)

My husband had his interview back in March and it's been in AP since. He took wedding pictures, pictures of the reception, chat logs we had on Whats App.  Receipts of gifts he bought me at Doleman mall. I don't know how your husband's interview will go, but for my husband they did accuse of him fraud (I think the CO's were trying to rattle him) but at the end they kept his passport and supporting documents. Not saying this will happen to your husband, but you never know.

Our red flags:

Different religions: I was raised Christian and he's Muslim

Different cultures: of course he was born in Pakistan I was born in the US.

Different ethnicities: I'm Afro American, he's Pakistani. (yes I know, not very common)

I'm thinking of going back to visit, but I don't know for how long. I was thinking of using my PTO but I don't how much my job will approve. So that's up in the air right now.

I would very very strongly encourage you to visit again asap, at least once before submitting everything to the NVC so you can include evidence of your trip at that time and then again for the visa interview

having only one visit of a week along with all of the other red flags will likely land your case in AP

Thank you!!  We actually scheduled a vacation to Dubai Aug. 28th.  I think in time the concerns of money and planning are less and less as our time apart becomes harder for us.  We are also planning me coming to Islamabad for his interview.

I see you petitioned from Pakistan as well...any advice you can give would be appreciated.  :)
