Form - I-129F - Address Query

Hi all, 

 

My fiance and I are planning to fill in the form later this week, but I have a query regarding section 45a. 

 

The form asks where I would be living, however my fiance is currently living in a rented property but is intending on buying somewhere by January so the address I originally provide would be incorrect or outdated rather quickly. 

 

Would I later be able to make an amendment and update this part of the info as the application is going through? 

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just enter his current address on the I-129F. At K-1 stage, you'll complete the DS-160 and it will ask where you'll be staying. You can update the latest address right there.

 

Please note that he'd need to inform USCIS of his change of address once the I-129F has been filed and pending adjudication to ensure he receives all subsequent mails from USCIS and NVC.

Fill out the form with your current address ... when you move, within ten days file an AR-11 form to update the new address (you can do it online on the USCIS website and it's free).

No worries---when you do file the AR-11 form you will get an immediate confirmation page that the new address has been submitted and updated.

My suggestion is to print out this confirmation page so that if there *is* any issue later on (ie.  missing notices, or USCIS saying you didn't respond to mail if they mistakenly send it to your old address) you have proof that you did inform them of the address change as required.
