Ds260 Address conundrum

Hey everyone!

So this may be in the wrong section but hopefully it isnt and someone can give me some advice on the matter.

I've just read through the sample ds260 to prepare myself for filling it in within the next few days. (We paid IV fee last Thursday but it still hasn't changed to paid so ds260 isn't unlocked yet... Even though ceac says they have received our fees and the next step is to submit ds260... Anyway, I digress!)

So my conundrum lies in the fact that it asks for current mailing address which I am assuming is the address in which you want green card etc sent to. My husband and I have recently bought a house and will be closing on that property and moving within the next 10 days. (Im currently in the states on vacation for the summer) So, seeing as the house is BASICALLY a done deal should I be submitting the ds260 with the new address or keep it as the one we are in right now which we will no longer be in by the time they actually review my case?

Sorry this was longer than I intended! Any advice would be appreciated. I know this really is a non issue, im just curious as to what the best action would be. Thanks in advance!

Just to clarify - I will of course be officially updating NVC with the new address once we legally have possession of the house... Im just curious as to whether at this point I should just submit with the new address or not seeing as it won't be looked at for another few weeks.

Did you ever think of waiting until it's a done deal before submitting the DS-260? We're only talking a matter of days here. USCIS and Dept of State (NVC) are not that great with address changes making it to all parts of the system. This is called Visa Journey and not Visa Race for a reason. Planning the best journey to minimise hassle on another part is worth consideration.
