Hi All,

My wife's K3 was approved on Apr 12th. I am in the process of gathering all the documents for Packet 3. My question is can I schedule medical appointment in New Delhi before receiving Packet 3 or medical comes in the picture later?

Some consulates, and embassy enclose specific forms in the packet that need to be brought to the medical appointment, like DS-2053, DS-3024, DS-3025 and DS-3026.

The medical results are good for 1 year, getting them closer to the interview date makes more sense to avoid the results becoming out of date and then having to do a medical for the AOS in the USA.)

I think the medical will come later in the picture. Not sure about K3, but for my wife's CR1, she needs to take the Interview appointment letter at the time of her medical interview. Since the interview appointment letter is received as part of Packet 4, she couldn't do it any earlier.

My wife is applying in Mumbai, and she has scheduled her medical 2 days before the interview, and will take the results with her to the interview.

Thanks!! It has been more than 2 weeks and NVC has not received the paperwork from CSC. I know CSC was slow in processing but I expected them to send the approval in few days.

Sandip - I'm in your position too. Mine was approved about the same time as yours from VSC, I was assigned a case number, but the automated message as of tonight says "no record of your case number." I'm wondering where my file actually is right now? En route? File cabinet? India????

Update: My approval was 5th April, package was sent to Chennai 11th April. Call VSC at 603 334 0700. Be patient with them because there is a wait time.

Congratulations man!!! Mine was approved on April 12th, called NVC and they said they don't have it yet. It's been more than 2 wks. Don't understand what is taking so long.

Any progress? I just found out that although my package was successfully shipped out to Chennai on the 11th of April (fifteen business days ago!), and apparently Chennai has not received it yet.

There are Visa applications flying all throughout the world but refuse to land. Does anyone have any experience with this? How long does it take for Chennai to confirm they received it?

ididnt understand 1 thing pls make me clear after the case is completed at nvc does the case again go to vsc and hence again to nvc then is it mailed to the concerned local embassy ????

or is it that after case completion at nvc the nvc sends it to the embassy
