Hey guys im new here and just about to file my i-129f in the next few weeks. My fiancé is from the philippines and im from the US. At the moment my previous years tax returns will not meet financial requirements. But, i am starting a new job monday and hopefully getting anouther part time soon. So, by the time gets here that i need to fill out the affidavit of support i might meet the requirements on my own.

But just in case, i want to knowabout co-sponsorship... i know manila doesn't always accept it, but i also know half the time they dont even ask to see it( wont be my luck haha ) If i will need a cosponsor i would be using my mom( who i currently live with and who was earning about 50,000 a year ) she just recently retired though. Wondering how the process works for retired cosponsor. Or if u have any other advice for me on this matter. Id rather not go the spousal route!

thanks in advanced

This is a question that's a little off topic but are you planning to live with your mom when your fiancée arrives?  Have you discussed this with your fiancée?  I mention it because I have read about issues when foreign fiancée have to live with the in-laws.
