Hello. I'm hoping someone can give me an answer as I've yet to receive one. I've been in the US for almost 4 years after being granted Asylum from Pakistan. I have petitioned for my husband and daughter to follow. We have filed all the necessary paperwork. EVERYTHING has been approved. USCIS. NVC. My husband interviewed in Islamabad on 2/17/2016. The petition has been approved and I have received a notification informing me of this and that the Visas allowing them to come to the US will be issued. That was a year and a half ago! I can't get any updated information at all. I have inquired about the case status thru CEAC and the last update was 7/20/17 stating that administrative processing is ongoing! That is what I have received since everything was approved and he was informed they would be receiving Visas. It says the same thing every time every couple of months, administrative processing.....

Does anyone have any idea what is going on? Why would it take over a year to actually receive the Visas once everything is complete and approved? Of course contacting the US Consulate is of no help because, if they even answer the phone, they don't give any information over the phone. I've sent emails, faxes and have contacted my State Senator with no luck or info. Help please!

My case is also under adminstrative processing since January 2016. I had interview on 8th January 2016. Everything gone well and consular officer gave me no slip and asked for no document after interview. But contacting congressman and embassy is useless . I am married since 2012 and my wife is in USA since October 2013.

Have you asked embassy to give your passport back? What's the point of this infinite waiting? Is there any hope? I m waiting since 13 months after My interview.

They kept my passport, and asked me to wait up to 6 months...but it's 2 years and 9 months since I had interview. And the email pak92@state.gov are not replying to my query since April 2018. Me and my wife are planning to meet in some other country as it's been 5 years since we met last time .....

Lol you both panic again! tell u what back in July i received reply from my senator and was told visas are still in under administrative process  and if i dont hear anything from embassy untill december get back to them. I was surperised because in routine i can ask for update every month from senator and after every 2 months directly from embassy. But this time i was asked to wait until december.  I decided to ask for update from embassy directly and surperisingly i didnt receive any update from them yet, despite the fact i used to get reply from them within week but its over 2 weeks now and last update to the case is 27 august which is auto- so i assume something gonna happen in on or before december. Good luck!
