I have not noticed any such hurt from their constituents and himself,

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

''crooked Hillary'' I've read that a bunch of times. The power of repeating what we hear.

Even though the media has heavily contributed to the demonization of Trump (not much help needed if you ask me, he does fine on his own) the truth is, Hillary's reputation was completely destroyed beforehand, she didn't need to do or stop doing much. People fixated on the issue with the E-mails, and it doesn't matter to them if she's cleared or not. They've found enough on Trump to at least raise some serious concerns (Wether it's impeachment worthy or not, I don't know) but it's still not enough for some of you. Which fine, it is your right, you can support whomever you like.

But it truly baffles me. I am not pro Hillary either but, shouldn't it go both ways? Not simply take what we hear on the news or coming from Trump himself,

From the outside, it seems personal. A ''We won, get over it, snowflakes'' But it doesn't feel like anyone's really wining. The country is heavily divided, and they can't seem to agree on a single thing, which hurts the vast majority of people in one way or another.

The runner up is wearing the crown. That means that Trump is in the WH although the majority of the American people didn't and still don't want him there. It must suck to be in the WH without a mandate from the American people. LOL.

I don't recall Hillary getting more than 50% of the popular vote.  So by this logic, the majority of Americans didn't want her either.

I think the division of the country started before this past election.  The results he may have polarized it even more, but we didn't just turn a switch and become a divided country.

I think you're right. I never followed U.S politics that closely, but something I've gathered is this fight between republicans and democrats and need to win. Coming from a country that's always been struggling with corruption and a drug war, the only thing my people want, is peace. We've had conflicting parties (PAN vs PRI, primarily) but they're equally bad, no one is really doing anything to improve the life of their citizens, and it worries me that the U.S might be heading a similar path because they can't get along.

Hence why I moved to Canada. One should be able to see this very thing very easily.

Canada is Mecca for the very immigrants most denigrated and feared by many VJ posters. It's also much further down the socialist path, and more progressive than the US. Odd that.

I see what you did there.

Does seem to be a win win situation with Canada.

I like win wins.

And Trump got even less than that, which really puts things in perspective.

The fact remains, that more voters wanted Hillary in the WH over Trump.

I think if you did the math, more people voted GOP/Libertian/Conservative than Democrat/Green/Socialist.

Still, more people wanted Hillary in the WH than did Trump. In other words, the majority of the American people didn't want Trump in the WH. That is the definition of not having a mandate.

You can flip the numbers any which way you want, and my statement stands. LOL.
