The Case for Impeaching Trump If He Fires Robert Mueller

Terminating the special counsel would show recklessness, imply corruption, and irrevocably damage the country.

Last week, President Donald Trump fueled speculation that he might work to oust Robert Mueller, the former FBI director appointed to probe Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Trump could do so today, or tomorrow, or three months from now; the news could be announced in a televised speech, through a spokesperson, or even in a late night tweet sent on an impulse after his advisers have gone to bed.

If Trump fires Robert Mueller, few will be surprised. But if that happens, as the Department of Justice is thrown into chaos, as the American public sees its clearly expressed support for the special counsel disregarded, as the vital inquiry into the integrity of American elections stalls, as protesters take to the streets in a show of outrage at the affront to the rule of law, as the 2018 midterms morph into a referendum on the administration, and as American democracy reels into unknown territory, the House of Representatives should immediately impeach the president.

Not very surprising, considering the majority of the American people did not and still do not want him in the WH.

It must really suck to be on the losing end in a year where almost all the polls and pundits guaranteed a huge victory for crooked Hillary.

What at a time to be alive!

Can tell who the entitled are, they're the ones still upset Trump won and take every opportunity to vent that frustration latching onto every conspiracy and fake news. It's like being in 2008-2009 all over again, but on steroids.

B-but the media said Hillary was gonna win! #Resist #Impeach #NotMyPresident #ImStillWithHer #Drumpf #PopularVote #covfefe #tantrums

And I thought the conspiracy nuts were bad a decade ago.

I wonder if they are as wacky in person as they are on here?  I wonder if they are able to hide their dillusions IRL?

I can understand being upset about losing....but come on....they need to snap out of it.

You would need to ask Hillary that. On the other hand, we don't need to ask the so-called president how he feels being runner up. Six months into his administration, and he still can't come to terms with the fact fewer people today want him in the WH, than did back in November.

I said if before: poor runner up is wearing the crown.

You can wish all you want, it doesn't seem Trump will snap out of it, even if he stays in power for the rest of his life.

I suggest browsing up on up on how our elections work.

I hope not. Especially of Democrats. I'd hate for them after all this bashing of Trump, independents/moderates, etc. to turn around and pretend to be sane come 2018 and 2020 election seasons. I'm perfectly happy with them marginalizing independents and moderates away from the Democratic Party, resulting in more lost elections, so long as this attitude persists. I wanna see who they blame next. :pop:

They still even latch onto irrelevant criteria for President, such as the national popular vote, or want to be like Trump and compare inauguration crowd sizes, and so on. I think what upsets Dems the most is that someone very much like them got elected and isn't a Democrat.

The runner up is wearing the crown. That means that Trump is in the WH although the majority of the American people didn't and still don't want him there. It must suck to be in the WH without a mandate from the American people. LOL.

I see the butt hurt remains strong in this one.

Oh, the butt hurt is immense. Even though Trump is in the WH, their constituents and himself, cant get over the fact they lost the popular vote by a large margin. Must feel awkward for them.
