Hello,

I have completed a degree and my sevis says completed. But my visa still valid. I got married to a US citizen. In order to apply for green card do I have to go to a lawyer? My driver license and student visa is valid more 3 months. Am I still legal in USA?

After you graduate with an F1 you have 60 day grace period. What matters is the i-20, not the stamp on your passport. If you i-20 says you graduated, then whatever you have on your F-1 stamp does not matter.

If you are in the US, you can still adjust status and even if when passed the time, it will not be a problem. If you leave the country, however, it will be a problem if you stayed more than you should have.

You have to prepare to Adjustment of Status. See this guide http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2

But download the most recent version of each form from the USCIS website.

You don't need a lawyer. You just have to fill a bunch of paperwork and put together evidence, which you would still have to do on your own if you got a lawyer. Just use this website to ask questions or use the search engine to look for answers.
