HELP: Signing I-751 in blue OR black ink?

My USC husband and I are about to send our ROC package. My question is, should we sign the I-751 in blue OR black ink?

 

Yes, the instructions say "type or print in black ink” or “type or print legibly in black ink” but it is referring ONLY to the answers section and not to the signature itself.

 

I have been reading about this topic but the answers I found were all different. Some people say use black ink because it shows up better on scans and photocopies and some people say use blue ink because it shows it is original.

 

I'm so confused. Does the color of the signature really matter? Has anyone gotten a RFE for this?

You can never go wrong with BLACK ink...

Blue ink does NOT necessarily denote an original...ever heard of a color copy??

They prefer black ink since they will scan your i-751 form and saved it on their system. Blue pen is not almost visible at all when you scan the document.

The program doesn't allow meto type in my name (but it did it automatically for my husband in part 8  )

 

Doest this mean i need to write my name   BY HAND in black ink (not type on computer)? 

and then both of us SIGN it also BY HAND (not electronically), correct?

Interesting question!

I signed 751 as a petitioner using the blue ink, and my husband as the citizen spouse signed in black. So far it seems no problem at all. Still, I agree with previous comment that you can never go wrong with black.

Same here! I don't have a middle name, and thus my name didn't show up on that line. Just print it and fill it by hand. Then both of you sign by hand as well. Black is safe.
