Hi,

I just found this forum and I would like to share and ask questions about my visa journey as well. We were interviewed last June 2, 2017 and it really went well. After the interview, we received a 221(g) form because our documents are incomplete. We were unable to complete it because my relatives from the US were still waiting for the approval of our QUALIFIED JOINT SPONSOR (Affidavit of Support Form). After a month, we already submitted all the remaining documents that were requested by the Embassy last July 12, 2017 via 2GO Express and I've confirmed that the documents were delivered 2 days after. Until now, our visa status are in Administrative Processing and the last update was July 18, 2017.

I have a few questions and I hope someone can help me on this.

1. Why is the delivery address on the 2GO tracker different? I'm expecting for it to be delivered to the US Embassy but it states there that it was delivered to CGI Federal, Inc. - IV.

2. Every when do they update the visa status?

Thank you very much in advance! :)

I read on the embassy have a different delivery address some time back, doubt I can find the article again.  So all should be fine with the delivery.

As for processing.  Once the embassy receives the documents I have seen it take from a couple weeks to over a month before final action (ISSUED ;) ).

Be patient, check CEAC status daily ...  patience is key.

Oh okay. For now, I'll just stay calm because I was too excited for the release of our visas since the day that we've processed the papers :D Thanks again for providing the information that I need. I'll just keep this thread updated for our visa status.

Hello again everyone!

After 2 weeks of waiting, the visa status changed to ISSUED ( Case Last Update: Aug 1, 2017) already. It states there that we just need to wait 7 to 10 working days for it to be delivered to our address.

No words can explain how happy we are now. I hope this is really what we've been waiting for. Thanks to your advice, Patience really is the key on these processes! :D

Hello LLG, may I ask what additional documents did they request you provide? I am also an F3 Category and was interviewed last July 6, 2017.

Our visa status is currently in Administrative Processing and the last update was July 19, 2017 after they received the additional documents that we submitted last July 17, 2017. They requested for a new Affidavit of Support Form from our qualified joint sponsor though it was already provided when our PD became current last 2009 (it retrogressed after a few months). Been waiting for an update for almost 3 weeks now and I am not sure if I should send an email to USEM to follow up my case. Did you in any way made a follow up to USEM regarding your case? Thank you. :)

If the embassy has the new I-864, then be patient... calling, emailing will not speed anything up.  If they need something else they will contact you.

Check your status on CEAC daily.  Then be patient.

Patience is key!

Hello,

Finally! That was fast! We already received our passports and visa packets yesterday (Aug 05, 2017). It only took us 3 days of waiting before it was delivered to our address. What we did next is we registered on CFO website for our PDOS.

Just a quick question, are we on the right path? What to do after the PDOS?

Thanks!

Once you complete PDOS and have the sticker in your passport, you need only get your airfare handed, pack your bags.. and have a going away party.  ;)

Do make copies of your immigrant data sheet as CFO will want copies, it is attached to the DO NOT OPEN envelope, do not remove it.

Hello,

Thank you Hank and LLG. :)

Finally, our visa status changed from Administrative Processing to Issued. I'm not sure if the email I sent to the CO last Friday (Aug 4)  helped at all as the status update was also made on the same day. :) Waiting was indeed stressful but really, patience is the key! :)

Again, thank you and have a great day ahead. :)

All the best.  Safe Travels
