Hillbilly is a saint compared to my ex. But he still leaves his socks on the floor and somehow never seems to think the laundry basket is where stuff goes not next to it.

That is a genetic fault that only occurs in men and teenagers...

 

Survived my 1st shift of work and not video watching, it's scary how excited they are that I could work the checkout without days of training - it's not rocket science!

 

Oh and now they want to give me extra hours, I said yes - so long as they are daytime Monday to Friday & they forgot all about their 'it's a weekend led business' mantra....

So my friend's kids have issues with their chores.  The one kid is super money oriented (which is a little odd for an 8 year old.)  I told her to tell him that if he can't figure out his chores he will never stay married.  Because his wife will get mad at him for being a lazy slob, divorce him and then take all his money for the rest of his life.  

Strangely this will likely work on this kid.  She told him she was taking $2 out of his allowance and he instantly learned the alphabet in one day.  Evidence he was just messing around as she felt he must be.

One eve, in our first casa, we saw something walking from casa to driveway, and we called Mrs. T-B., si man.

She confirmed that it was a langosta (lobster), nonhallucinating we man.

We watched it walk all the way down our driveway to the street, bye langosta man.

We concluded that it might have been in someone's garbage, collected earlier that day, only possibility man.

Reasons that I only have the equivalent of two full beers a year there.  What makes me super uncomfortable is this trendy mommy wine culture.  

 

I don't know if it was good self-awareness or luck that despite being the daughter of an alcoholic, I managed to not marry one and not become one.

Mini-B., and to a lesser extent Mrs. T-B., are similar, sigh man.

 

Of course, while we were gone, Mrs. T-B. went on a cleaning binge, rare but happens man.

Some of it was needed, granted man.

However, she nearly threw out Dead Aunt T-B.'s framed university diploma, rescued by us man.

She did throw out items that we had earmarked for donation promptly upon our return, grrr man.

We went unmitigated intestinal-waste-of-simians on her, lose it we man.

She took umbrage, clueless she even after Many years of marriage man.

She still hasn't internalized that we dislike surprises and unexpected change more than anything else in life, ADD she man.

So we just randomly see shellfish walking by. Smart lobster. You should've grabbed it, they are delicious.

Into Des Moines on timely basis, hoorah Southwest man.

From plane into lousy 'Lac straight down Interstate Many (2x2x2x2x2+2+1) into Missouri, quick errand man.

Then due west on Iowa Hwy. 2 to Clarinda, by dinnertime man.

Wonderful family-owned motel, happy we man.

Dinnered at local restaurant, stuffed we man.

Bought long-term-use closeout items at supermarket, bargains man.

Slept quite well, zzz we man.
