Eventually she gets out from behind me...zooms off...and two blocks later pulls into the drive-thru at Dairy Queen.  Such a rush for a milkshake.

I made a pot of chili yesterday, it was in the fridge, all day I've been looking forward to chili for my supper, I put the chips in the oven and sat down - Redneck has gone back to work tonight, on his way out the door he says, I've got your chili - what all of it I ask - yes he says & is gone

Sometimes I miss going to work.

Wait, I do go to work.

I think that if I didn't go to work, 

I'd miss going to work.

Mainly because, I can do more relaxing at work than home...

 

And I'm telling you guys, being second in charge/ command in any organization is the best job there is. You don't have the pressure and stress of the big guy, and no one else can tell you what to do.

If you have competent bosses under you, you just pass the buck. 

 

Hmm that's probably why the other 3 guys hate me 

 

But, I do have a little stress.

Maybe a little pressure.

And a little aggravation...

Actually I get the 10% veterans discount. But I don't carry that card, and always forget to bring the thing when I go to HD.

My primary motivation for applying was employee discount & they don't give one!

That sucks.  I remember the one for Lowe's was 10%, but depending we got 7-10% cash back for ordering online through upromise and doing in store pickup and you couldn't use the employee discount online.

 

I actually think it is likely because their profit margins are tight.
