I also do not blame you for taking it hard.  I would as well, just grateful it's not something i have an issue with however it must be hard on my hubs too. I will be more understanding with him in the future so i appreciate the insight

Hanging in my dad's house was a painting of him and his first wife. That really got my mom good because did the first wife lift a finger to help him when he was dying?  Nope.

My Husband had a first wife. She packed up within 3 hours of his cancer diagnosis, took her daughter, (my husband had adopted her) and left him on his own.  When he got back from a pre-surgery consult, he walked into an empty house. Once he was in the hospital, the next day, she came back and cleaned the house out and left in his truck. I'll never understand that. How do you leave someone to go through an ordeal like that alone?

The only thing he had when I met him, was a couple of snapshots his Mother sent him, taken when he was about 2.  So, if he ever was sentimental about things, he wasn't by the time I arrived.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

The gifts that I give to my wife. She likes giving them away to her family.

All 3 of her sisters got designer bags from me that way.

I'm not in the business of buying designer bags for my sisters in law.

But when I was in Malaysia, I did buy an MK for the youngest one. She's single no BF.

The other 2 have husbands. They can get designer bags for their wives.

Because of this, never again will I buy anything nice for tiff.

Kind of ruins the romance of gift giving.

In other news, I came super close to passing out during a blood draw today. I'm normally fine, even when I get poked 20 times, but today by the second phlebotomist and fifth poke I was done. Apparently turned grey and had to lay down. They were discussing if they should call a nurse in. Super embarrassing.

Once the older kid was getting stitches on her chin. She had to be...2?

So, I'm holding the kid tight so they could stitch. Tiff is standing there, they stitch, tiff goes right down on the floor.

Had a screaming kid, and a passed out woman on the floor.

I shoulda left her there...

We are both widowed, I understand he's keeping it for the kids, I really do.  Sometimes it just hurts that he gets to keep every single thing of sentimental value while I had to make hard choices.

Its not rational, I know this and I'll be over it again soon :)

I wouldn't give away a gift my husband gave me....

Hope you are feeling better Nola - they should've got it right the first time

I don't do needles at all. Blood draws are needed to be sitting or lying down and no looking. Pop is a must after to keep me from passing out.
