You should hang up on the daughter too she's disturbing your peace..

Its draining beyond words to never get a second to just relax. You deserve some kind of award (I'm not being facetious or joking, I mean it)

My MIL bought me flowers today, they are beautiful and much appreciated - I suspect she realizes I have reached the end of my tolerance for her nonsense and is trying to soften me up...

I did she see was calling later on today, and I just let it ring :D

I'm thinking about applying for sainthood (and I am joking) I figure at the end of the day she still has a pulse, job done. I'd look like death in orange, so murder's quite out.

That always makes me nervous, when my MIL used to bring me something she'd bought. The first thing that came to mind is what does she want. Beware of MIL's bearing gifts ;)

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Hmmm....

My MIL bought me a very heavy 24k gold ring with white gold inlay as a wedding gift...

Gold was sky high at the time, too....

Since I noticed that she didn't get something as nice for her other 2 son in laws, I'd like to just think that I'm her favorite? :content:

After 2 days of studying her MRI and CT scan, they decided that she did have a stroke, and not TIA.

Strokes take a few days to show up on scans.  How is she doing today?

Hmm...I wonder if there's any correlation between that and the Chinese slang word for prostitute, which is "chicken".

The blockage was there clear as day, from the get go. It just took the neurologist this long to decide that it was in fact, a stroke. Friday afternoon, he said it was TIA...

At any rate, if you ask me, she's doing very well...her speech is about 80- 90% normal. She can stand and sit, has mobility.

Thanks for asking.

I'm nervous alright, redneck had a 'recovery specialist ' call his cell asking for his mom the other day & she announced her card was declined and all her money has gone out of her bank - she tells us it's theft - it's a huge coincidence that her card gets cloned at the same time debt collectors start calling but she gets aggressively defensive when we ask questions

I have a sinking feeling we're going to have to pay her debts shortly, I'm just hoping they aren't too big

If she's recovering that quick she should be 100% back to normal soon which is fab news 👍

My my aunt on palliative care regained consciousness yesterday, I don't know if I should be feeling hopeful or not.

Today is Home Depot interview, it's raining ☔️.

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

1-The only time you're responsible for your MIL's debt is if you co-signed.

2-Thanks again for your well wishes.

3-Good luck with your interview.

4-The whole eastern seaboard is raining hard.

5- Stretch's young chicken must be like, "what are all these oval things coming outta my a## everyday?"....

Legally we have no responsibility but we can't let his 83 yr old mom be hounded by debt collectors, if we have to pay her bills she's going to have to hand over managing her finances 100% to us...

Thank you

Our chickens (back in the 🇬🇧) were always pretty pleased with themselves when they laid an egg 😂

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey
