Must have had something to do with the Wisconsin plates.  Dairy for them is like crack.

My scan in the doctor's office went well today - baby is measuring ahead by 5 days or so.

I've got my NT scan next week in Fargo.

So on the way home, this girl is tailgating me hard, like if I braked even slightly she would have slammed right into me.  Slowing down made it worse.

Eventually she gets out from behind me...zooms off...and two blocks later pulls into the drive-thru at Dairy Queen.  Such a rush for a milkshake.

Good news :)

My favorites are the ones who are set to pull out, they see you coming pretty close, there is nothing behind you, and yet...

She must have been desperate for ice cream. Desperate!

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

MIL still in the hospital. Staying again tonight, and then being moved to the South Campus tomorrow, which is for Rehab again.  They are taking her from the Rehab, back to the hospital on the tenth, to have her pacemaker battery changed. Doesn't seem to me they are turning her loose anytime soon.

At least they are taking care of her.  What is the long term outlook looking like?

At least they get to deal with her and you get a bit of a break whilst she's there...

Hope it's only a short visit

My maternal aunt is on terminal watch now, my family are spending 24/7 at her bedside in shifts.

Mum is distraught and it's ramming home the heartache of being so far away

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Man Amazon let all these fooks sell on their market place, it's only going to destroy them. I've gotten beat for 20 bucks in the last couple months, which Amazon reimbursed me for. This trend is going to cost them.

Especially with Walmart breathing down their necks with the "is there something wrong with this product" button on the product page. And one of the things on the pull down is "price"...

Only buy from prime vendors with a high reputation.  If you don't, IMHO, that's your own fault.

I thought, just before I rang the charming daughter, I might try and speak with the MIL's actual nurse. She was off the floor when I was there. Just in the event that she doesn't have the best information. She was going on about the number of cardiologists in and out this morning, for one thing, which struck me as an odd service to be following her.

She isn't going to Rehab, and no one has told her she is. There's nothing on the chart, or in the offing, that in any way indicates that's the plan.

She doesn't have a dx of pneumonia either. She has acute CHF, and that's another story.  I don't know whether she was told that, or if she understood it, or whether she was told and it's gone right in one ear and out the other. She tends to substitute actual reality for the one she prefers.

And so does her daughter. I've rung her, she had plans for the upcoming week and sees no reason to change those. Well then.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

thanks for your well wishes.

She had a mild stroke.

I was there, the only symptom she had was slurred speech. Gave her 2 aspirins and called 911. They were lightening quick. 15 minutes from the onset to the hospital.

The hospital was equally fast. I say inside the first 5 minutes they found the clot.

Oh dear.  Well I'm glad you didn't take her word for it and asked the nurse.  That's a big difference between pneumonia.

Great catch! The sooner you can get people to the hospital, the better the outcome. Well done :)
