06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I'm doing a heart with rats today. i'm so excited. It is less creepy than it sounds

➺ 02/04/17 Petition mailed 

➺ 02/08/17 Case Assigned to USCIS Nebraska, sigh. 

➺ 02/13/17 We got our NOA1! PD: February 8th 

➺ 12/15/17 NOA2 finally! after 10 1/2 months. 

➺ 12/21/17 NVC confirmed they received our file 

➺ 01/22/18 Documents sent to Rapidvisa 

➺ 02/05/18  NVC received our package 

03/15/18 Case complete! 

06/27/18  We got our Interview date! August 28th 

08/30/18 The package arrived (waited at Juarez)

08/31/18 Entered the U.S with my husband 

➺ 02/13/19 Husband confesses he cheated, leaves

➺ 02/16/19 Husband decides to abandon the marriage

➺ 05/13/19  I am officially divorced. 

 ➺ 07/03/20  I file to remove conditions on my own     

 ➺ 08/13/21 I finally get my biometrics appointment 

➺ 02/26/22 I got my interview assigned: March 31st.

Picked up a lot of apples.

Walmart didn't have an apple peeler, so now I need to check the hardware store in town.  They had some last month.

Did a two cart Walmart grocery trip.

Now I want to sleep.

It's a pity the MIL has banned me from the Doc's office. She has had chest pain, SOB, and edema all weekend. Won't take nitro, didn't even remember she has a Ventolin inhaler, doesn't remember every single time how that works. Won't take the second dose of Furosemide in the evening because she has to get up to the bathroom in the night.

 

Just came back from his office, admitted to none of that but claims she forgot to, says he says she's in fine health and to drop her dose of Carvedilol to once a day.

She isn't on that.

I've rung them. They are gone for the day, at 15:30.  I don't know why I bother.

To put the tin hat on it, her charming daughter has tagged me on FaceBook. So I don't miss seeing her fabulous holiday to look at the fall colors in Vermont.  "I love being retired," she says. I'd like to yank the pair of them bald-headed about now.

If it makes you feel any better mine has started her winter 'doctor shopping's

Currently claiming to have blood in her urine caused by kidney stones - I'm not banned from the doctors yet & he said she's fine...

So tonight shes started with the 'congestive heart failure' and is googling to find her a new heart doctor - cos her current one told her she has the heart of someone 20 years younger.

*Sigh* it's going to be a long winter

 

Her daughter won't even answer the phone to her, she can't put up with her drama!

I am so very English, even my complaint rant is polite!

 

I sent this to the restaurant we went to tonight:

 

Hello
I would like to say thank you for a lovely experience, like to, but I can't because we didn't have one.

We arrived to an almost empty restaurant at 6PM to have a family supper before my husband went to work.

We were seated promptly (right where we could see the serving area), our server took our drinks order and duly delivered 3 waters and an unsweetened tea - no straws but hey we're all big enough to drink from a glass...

Gave her our food order and that's when it started to go wrong.

After about 15 mins my mother in law's southern chicken salad arrived, I don't know about you but generally when I eat out all the entrees arrive together, kinda ruins the atmosphere when one gets food and the rest of the table is left drooling don't you think?

We waited, and waited and then waited some more, still no sign of the rest us getting any food.

I'm a pretty patient person but as I said earlier the whole point of the meal was to all eat with my husband before he went to work.  He was now worrying he wouldn't even see his food before he had to leave never mind eat anything.

I finally headed to the counter to enquire politely if we were likely to eat tonight.

No apology was given for the now 40 mins we had been waiting but 2 of the remaining 3 meals finally arrived.
So now we had 3 of the 4 meals we ordered, 45 mins after ordering.

Still no pizza and now my husband is going to be late, he had to ask for it be boxed before it came out and had to leave as soon as it arrived. 

Still no apology.

I understand that things happen in a kitchen, orders get lost, misplaced, overlooked or just ignored.

What I cannot understand or accept is the blase manner your front of house team dealt with it.

An apology, explanation, heck an acknowledgement that the appalling service we received is not usual would have been welcome - to ignore the issues and charge the full amount for what we received this evening is the worst example of service I have ever seen.

We used to enjoy meals there, not any more.

To ignore your customers when you have clearly failed to deliver any kind of acceptable service has ensured we will not be returning.

Yours disappointed and still hungry.

Was it a restaurant that you'd expect better service from?

I used to say to people, "Google is your friend!". I wish there was a way to keep her OFF it. 

I've just spent 20 minutes trying to find the hearing aid batteries she bought today. I should have thought of it sooner, she threw away the new packet and put the old packet in the fridge. With the eggs.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
