Crisis in the casa, ongoing man.

Nobody bought nobody cheap*, no man.

Zero cheap* in the casa, starvation man.

This is intolerable, grrr man.

We should make Mrs. T-B. put her business on hiatus until acceptable cheap* status is restored, oj tak.

*Background, see conversation from years ago man:

Mrs. T-B.:  I bought you cheap.
T-B.:  What did you say?
Mrs. T-B.:  I bought you cheap.
T-B.: You bought us cheap? What the dickens does THAT mean?  We're not that cheap. And don't let Immigration hear you say that.
Mrs. T-B. [frustrated]:  Cheap, CHEAP!  I bought you CHEAP!

Further investigation revealed that she had gone to the store and bought us a bag of potato cheaps, si man. :bonk:

I attached one of the other ones I put out today.  That purple part unscrews and inside is a log to sign.

They're really fab, really creative, we used to just put our 'treasure' in a Ziploc and hide it 😂😂

Today we are going to the zoo, redneck can't walk far or his knee gets too sore and according to the website it's a 5 mile trek to go all round - could be a fun day, I'm hoping he'll hire a womble cart..

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

1.  Is this legal, huh Nola-B. ma'am?

2.  We know zero about this activity, explain ma'am.

Yes, well as long as the geocaches have been properly placed.  They are supposed to be on public land or have permission to be where they are.

Oddly enough, it is something I learned about from someone I met on the same penpal site I met my husband.  I had talked to this Dutch girl* for a few years who used to geocache and I was looking for a hobby, so it has kind of stuck.

*Back when I was learning Dutch - it was actually my grandmother's first language and one spoken in my parent's house.

So, you take a set of gps coordinates and attempt to find something that has been hidden there.  Sometimes there is a puzzle you have to complete to get to it, sometimes it is multi-stage, like you have to go to different points, and get the new set of coordinates to move on.

Unfortunately, there aren't many up by where I live, which I why I like to hide some.  We try and pick some up when we travel too.

It is a great activity to do with kids - very family friendly and a lot of them are in parks or other cool places to visit.

My friend Susy arrives today.

We met in Austin a year ago, and instantly bonded as friends.

It will be good to have her here for a few days before starting my trip in Monterrey,

cause I need to go back to work or else I won't afford to do the fun things I need to do,

like travel to the magical land of Juarez and get vaccinations I don't need, next year. Yay!

I did not know this existed and now I want to learn more about it! It definitely sounds like a wonderful idea. Any place in the interwebs where I can educate myself?

We saw those perros queued up by the cart... all I can say is... after a night at the Blue Parrot and before going to bed, those tacos and those tortas really hit the spot!
